Appliance Descaler and Cleaner
Traditional Descaling Methods
Many people like to try traditional methods of descaling like lemon, bicarb soda or vinegar. Some of these methods can damage the appliance (e.g vinegar will damage a coffee machine). These methods also take a lot longer to work and don't perform as well as specialised descaling products (e.g vinegar will take approximately 1 hour). These methods are also usually less efficient because scale build-up begins to appear after a very short period of time. Therefore, using specialised appliance descalers is much more efficient because they're quicker (work in around 5 minutes) and the effect lasts considerably longer.
Descale Magic Before & After Photo
The before photo (scroll down) illustrates a heavily scaled household kettle BEFORE using Rubbedin Descale Magic.
The after photo (scroll down) illustrates the same household kettle as in the before photo but AFTER one simple application of Rubbedin Descale Magic - All Purpose Descaler.
Please Note: Your household appliances should be descaled long before they become as heavily scaled as the kettle in the before photo! The reason for this is because scale causes heating elements to burn out - once encrusted in a layer of scale the element struggles to conduct the neccessary heat through this layer of scale. This in turn leads to overheating of the actual element which eventually causes the element to completely burn out.
Appliances in Need of Descaling: Your kettle, urn, electric jug, coffee machine, dishwasher, steam iron, steam oven, baby bottle steraliser, and shower heads should be descaled annually!
