Did you know that children in homes with higher levels of VOCs have more chance of developing asthma? A study conducted by Professor Peter Sly (a highly qualified authority on children's respiratory diseases) of the University of Western Australia, and a World Health Organisation collaborator with the Telethon Institute for Child Health in Perth, tested homes for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and found that children in homes with higher levels had more chance of developing asthma.
In an article in the Australian Courier Mail, Prof Sly stated that "The reality is that mothers who use a lot of household chemical cleaning agents during pregnancy can affect the growth of their children's lungs and make them more likely to have wheezes and asthma”.
Eco-friendly products, containing less VOCs and sensitisers, are often less likely to cause allergic reactions, making them ideal for families with children suffering from conditions such as asthma, eczema and other allergy-related health conditions.

Go-clean go-green™ has been carefully formulated with naturally derived plant based and non ecotoxic ingredients, specifically chosen because they deliver extraordinary cleaning power. We paid special attention to known agents, substances and sensitisers that can cause asthma. We made sure that none of our go-clean go-green™ products contain VOCs. They don’t create strong fumes or leave residues that may affect the health of those with asthma or allergies.
Ingredients such as chlorine bleach, ammonia and D-Limonene (orange oil) are known triggers for asthmatics and sensitive individuals. So we don’t use these either. D-Limonene is extracted from orange peel and although a natural resource, it is a respiratory irritant and an allergen. It can also be environmentally toxic.
All go-clean go-green ™ ingredients are biodegradable. They have been dermalogically tested and are cruelty free.

Suitable for Septic/Grey Water Use
Grey water is great for saving our water resources so we need to ensure that it’s safe. Grey water that is too rich in phosphates and nutrients can be damaging to your garden and our waterways. Plants and animals can be starved of oxygen and algae can be toxic. Sodium can harm plants and damage the soil structure. So we didn’t put any of these in either. Real Essential Oils… Nothing synthetic
For hundreds, if not thousands of years, essential oils have been recognised for their therapeutic properties. They can remove mould, unpleasant odours and kill bacteria, viruses and dust mites. So why not use them in our cleaning products? The selected essential oils (Lime, Lavender, Pink Grapefruit and Lemon Myrtle) were specifically chosen based not only on their remedial properties but also on their individual antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral benefits.
